It is time to journal for greatness and success.

Have you been perturbed about how you can do this?

Journaling is one of the transformative practices to live better and happier. Journaling invites us to embark on self-discovery and development which unveils our being, aside from discovering new things about yourself, you uncover the truth that lies within yourself.

A person who always keeps grudges and resentment in them can be given a chance to manage emotions and live better with other people and him or herself through an emotional mastery journal. Same as someone who uses a shadow work journal, can unveil their real identity and personality to deal with life.   I hope you are ready to unleash the power of a journal and how to use it. Join me as I help you embark on this journey, discover the step-by-step guide to journaling:

A setup for journaling
a special place for journaling

Develop a Special Space for self-discovery

I call this a sacred space for self-exploitation and discovery because you are going to utilize it to introspect deeper for yourself. Look around you in your house or room, find a quiet and yet comfortable space to write your thoughts, emotions, feelings, to-dos in it without any distraction from the people you love.

It is all about you. Finding such a place could help you with the reflection and introspection exercise you will do for yourself. During introspection, you can set the mood for soft light, harmony, or music to help you feel relaxed so that you can journal for your today, past, and future.

Intentionality is key for this Practice

Everything starts with the mind, and before you commence the practice of journaling, you will need to set the mind ready for this practice. This is done by taking a moment to ascertain why you need it, and what you will gain to set the tune right. With this, even when challenges hit you not to practice it, you know your intention and why you want to push forward.

Pick Journaling Prompt

Let's do this, Imagine you want to find a way to stop your ego from affecting your life. Now you know, you have to find a special place in your room to do this journaling, set intentionality right and the next thing is the prompt. Assuming, you want to stop ego from hurting you. You have to ask questions like Do I know myself? Do I know my ego? Does it affect how I live with people? And many deep questions to yourself.

Journal prompts will help you to discover your true self and assign strategies to help yourself as you keep on practicing.

Journaling prompts are questions you ask yourself to guide in your self-discovery journey. These are prompts. You can pick these questions on the type of problem you want to solve. Like the ego journal example I shared, the problem the person wants to solve is on ego. When you are developing these prompts, you set it according to the problem you want to solve. If it is about emotional mastery, you have to pick a prompt related to emotional mastery.

You can find these prompts from guided journals via online shops, Amazon, and physical bookstores or do-it-yourself.

I will help you to create one of the journals for yourself in one of my upcoming blog articles. If you want to buy my journals, click this link.

It is time to reflect

After you have selected the prompts you will be using. It is time for the action, thus, the journaling. You cannot start without reflection, use the prompt developed and sit down, dive in your past, elevate in your presence, and build up in your future. Don’t judge yourself during reflection, let your feelings, thoughts, and inner energy flow from your hands on the pages of your journal.

Make the journal as a mirror to reflect on your life. Keep on practicing to turn this into a habit of growth and better living.

Conclusion

What type of journal would you like to start and why?
